For years, people told me I should start an event planning business.
After attending retirement celebrations, milestone birthdays, family gatherings, and special events I had planned, they would often say, “Jan, you should be doing this professionally.”
I smiled, thanked them, and moved on.
But eventually, I realized they were seeing something in me that I had not fully embraced myself.
One event, in particular, changed everything.
I planned a retirement celebration for a coworker, and the response was overwhelming. People couldn’t stop talking about the atmosphere, the details, and the experience. More importantly, they couldn’t stop asking who had planned it. It wasn’t the first time I had heard, “You should be in the event planning business,” but it was the moment I realized they might be right.
The truth is, I’ve always loved creating celebrations that make people feel special.
I love dreaming up unique ideas, transforming spaces, and turning ordinary gatherings into unforgettable experiences. I love the excitement of seeing a vision come to life, watching guests enjoy themselves, and creating moments that people remember long after the event is over.
For me, event planning isn’t just about decorations or logistics. It’s about bringing people together, celebrating life’s milestones, and creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.
That’s why I created Feteva Events.
Why Feteva?
I created the name Feteva Events myself because I wanted something unique—something that reflected how I see celebrations.
The name was inspired by the word festivities, which immediately brings to mind joy, excitement, laughter, and meaningful moments shared with the people we love. To me, a celebration is more than a gathering. It’s an experience. It’s a memory in the making.
Feteva Events represents everything I love about event planning: creativity, connection, beauty, and the excitement of bringing people together for life’s most important moments.
Just as the name was created from imagination and vision, every event I design is created with that same spirit—thoughtfully, intentionally, and with a focus on creating an unforgettable experience for every guest.
What Makes Feteva Events Different?
Friends and family often describe me as creative, visionary, caring, detailed, fun, and someone who is always thinking outside the box.
Those qualities naturally show up in every event I create.
I believe the smallest details often make the biggest impact. I look beyond decorations and focus on the entire guest experience—from the first impression to the final farewell. I love incorporating personalized touches that make people feel seen, celebrated, and special.
Every event has a story to tell, and my goal is to help bring that story to life in a way that feels authentic, meaningful, and unforgettable.

After years of encouragement from family, friends, coworkers, and guests who attended my events, I finally decided it was time to turn my passion into something bigger.
Quite simply, I realized that if I didn’t do it now, I might never do it.
Feteva Events is the result of years of creativity, countless celebrations, and a genuine love for bringing people together.
